CEM Tennis L'Hospitalet is one of Catalonia's historic racket clubs, with more than fifty years in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat on Camí Pau Redó. It runs as a traditional neighbourhood sports centre rather than a glossy resort: clay tennis courts, outdoor padel, a basic gym, summer pool and the La Alondra bar-restaurant where members gather after matches. The club fields multiple padel teams in Summapadel leagues each season, from women's and mixed divisions to several men's absolut categories, and hosts padel tournaments and summer camps alongside a busy weekly tennis ranking. Google reviewers who know the place describe it as unpretentious and workmanlike, with padel court quality that varies by lane.
Instalaciones
Four outdoor padel courts on green anti-slip artificial grass with LED floodlighting. Fifteen clay tennis courts. Fitness gym, outdoor summer pool with lifeguard and spa area, bar-restaurant with terrace overlooking the courts, and private parking. Free showers and changing areas for sports users. Pool open June to August with daily entry or summer membership options.

Membership tiers (individual, junior, couple and family) include access to tennis, padel, gym and pool with discounted events. Pay-to-play without membership: padel €24/hour, padel lighting €4.50/hour, singles tennis €22/hour, doubles tennis €28/hour. Book via Playtomic app, phone or reception. Tennis and padel school from September with groups for all ages. Team competition in Catalan tennis leagues and Summapadel. Summer tennis and padel campus from late June.

The Padel Pistas are not in the best shape, especially Pista 2. It is impossible to play on it! Furthermore, the adress does not lead you to the entry of the club but to the highway on the backside of the club where there is no access and you have to drive around the entire block which takes 2-3 more minutes by car. In my opinion it is a little bit overpriced based on location and condition of the pista in comparison to other clubs in Barcelona.
Nice place to play tennis and paddle. It has a restaurant, gym and swimming pool as well.
CEM Hospitalet is no fluff, just tennis. Don’t expect a fancy club. Expect uneven clay, weird bounces, freezing cold when it’s winter, scorching heat when it’s summer. Be ready to train in the old school gym, and change in the mouldy and humid dressing room. But hey this is what we all signed up for. 🎾 This is where you will find real tennis grinders.
My daughter and I we are having the individual tennis clase here. The reception and coach they are super nice, and the price is reasonable. We enjoy the time spent there!
First of all, I apologize very much for the delay in writing my review, which I intended to do immediately beginning of November. I really appreciated C.E.M. Tennis Club which welcomed me with the utmost kindness and courtesy and made me feel at home. I absolutely want to thank the 3 tennis coaches with whom I played, all 3 Ruben, Juan and Fran are truly exceptional people, professional and with incredible kindness who made me have a fantastic week despite making me run like a madman and without giving me gifts on the court, good, good and again GOOD. Obviously I will come back to visit you with great pleasure.
