Sobre el club

Pistas de Tenis y Padel del Parque del Oeste is a municipal sports complex run by the Ayuntamiento de Oviedo in Parque del Oeste. Opened in 2003, the installation serves around a hundred users a day and combines tennis and padel with offices, a classroom, and an infirmary on site. Access is described as free entry for subscribers and people enrolled in municipal activities, with open recreational use listed among other services. The venue sits within Oviedo’s wider public sports network, including free municipal tennis and padel schools for children aged 7 to 16 under the Ciudad de Oviedo programme, plus wheelchair tennis schools and a sports programme linked to Club Natacion Ciudad de Oviedo. It is a public facility rather than a private padel club, aimed at residents who want court hire, lessons, or organised municipal activity in a park setting.

Instalaciones

The official inventory lists three padel courts measuring 10 by 20 metres with glass enclosure and monofilament artificial-grass surfaces, alongside a large tennis offer: one central clay court, four further clay courts with stands for about 300 spectators each, and four green-set tennis courts with similar stands. Support spaces include offices, a classroom, and an infirmary. Accessibility notes confirm seven reserved PMR parking spaces in front of the installation, ramp access from outside, two accessible changing cabins with shower and WC, and accessible court access. Changing-room and stand barrier notes elsewhere on the page flag limitations for some disability routes to stands, so players should check access needs on arrival. Lighting is offered as a priced option on municipal hire tariffs for padel courts.

Membresía y reservas

Court hire and activity access are organised through Oviedo’s municipal sports system rather than a private membership club. The Abono Deporte Oviedo pathway and facility subscriber rates appear in city sports information, while non-subscribers can still hire padel courts under separate public tariffs. Online space hire runs through the CronosWeb portal at oviedo.i2a.es, with rentals bookable up to 48 hours ahead once registered. Municipal ordinance prices for Parque del Oeste padel list subscriber hire from 3.00 EUR per hour without light and 3.50 EUR with light, and non-subscriber hire from 3.50 EUR per hour without light and 4.00 EUR with light. Subscriber activity tariffs also cover padel initiation, intermediate, and advanced courses two days a week, and free Ciudad de Oviedo padel schools serve children aged 7 to 16.

Preguntas frecuentes

Bueno saber

Bookings and rentals for municipal sports spaces in Oviedo are handled after registering on the CronosWeb login at https://oviedo.i2a.es/CronosWeb/Login, then choosing Reserva de espacios. Public prices are set in the municipal sports ordinance rather than on the venue page itself, which currently shows no live tariff records under precios publicos. Bus line B stops on the same street near the end of the road, and seven PMR parking spaces sit in front of the installation. Courts are allocated on the half hour within published session windows. The complex remains a mixed tennis and padel public venue, so availability can be shared with tennis programming and municipal schools. Spanish is the language of the official pages and booking flow.

Good facilities and good service. They could change the way they book the courts; it only allows reservations one day in advance, and it's very difficult to find an available court.

A clear example of mismanagement of public money: padel and tennis classes are taught at a very poor level by the teachers and with clearly insufficient preparation.

It's fantastic that Oviedo has services like this. Slopes are €7 per hour indoors and €3.50 outdoors, and they're in good condition. It's difficult to book during the week, but there's always availability on Saturdays and Sundays. The reception staff are lovely! The only downside is that the website sometimes crashes for several hours. I hope they build more slopes!

It's appalling. There are only three semi-covered courts, and they're always occupied by two private clubs that have leased them out. And if it rains, forget about playing; they flood. It's shameful that a city like Oviedo doesn't have decent indoor courts, free from corruption. And the dirt courts are even worse...

On Sunday, February 23rd, we had a 2-hour reservation and the jerk at reception charged us another full hour for leaving 5 minutes late, and on top of that, he was being arrogant. It's not the first time they've turned the lights off early and you have to leave in the dark because they feel like it and he's even laughing.
