Informazioni
Federal Brallo Tennis Center — known locally as Il Brallo — is a historic FITP federal training base at 1,050 metres in the Appennino Pavese, in the hamlet of Pregola near Brallo di Pregola. For more than fifty years it has hosted Italy's flagship summer tennis camps where generations of junior players trained in forest surroundings far from city noise. Padel arrived as part of the wider sports programme: the centre now runs Brallo Padel Camp stages covering technique, special shots like the bandeja and vibora, wall play and tactical positioning for beginners through improvers.
Servizi
The complex spans 16 tennis courts (clay and synthetic surfaces), one padel court combining clay and synthetic elements, two beach tennis courts, five-a-side football, basketball/volleyball and a covered multi-purpose hall. Summer campers also get beach volleyball, archery, orienteering, pool access and evening entertainment. Accommodation holds up to 200 youth in renovated four-bed rooms with private bathrooms following a major 2022–2026 refurbishment. Medical cover runs 24 hours during camp periods. The mountain setting suits pre-season football, volleyball and basketball training retreats as well as tennis.
Abbonamento e prenotazione
Padel access is primarily through organised Brallo Padel Camp stages and FITP summer programmes rather than casual drop-in court hire. Youth summer camps accept ages 6–16 via centriestivi.fitp.it; adult Tennis Training stages run separately. Enrolment and pricing are managed through the FITP summer-centres portal. Contact brallo@fitp.it or +39 0383 500467 (secretary open during camp seasons). Player contact hours during camps: +39 351 618 7162 / +39 351 996 7414, 13:00–14:30 and 19:30–20:30.
Buono a sapersi
This is a destination sports campus, not a neighbourhood padel club — think summer immersion rather than a weekly league slot. Recent parent reviews praise the sporting programme and independence-building atmosphere, though accommodation standards draw mixed feedback. Reachable from Milan (~100 km), Genoa (~120 km) and Piacenza (~60 km) via the A7/A21 and Valle Staffora road.

A great experience for my 12-year-old son, days packed with activities and competitions, not just tennis, but also soccer and padel. Perfect for someone who, like him, loves sports and spending time with new friends!
Brallo has always been much more than just a summer camp: it's a true school of life. I still remember my first camp here, way back in 1993. The facility has certainly evolved since then, but it has retained its authentic charm, that of a place where you learn to "disentangle" yourself—to become more independent, alert, and alive. I often read reviews criticizing the showers, bathrooms, or other amenities that aren't "optimal." But honestly, I believe these are just parents' projections, not the kids' real needs. Because here, there's already everything you need to truly grow: clean air, nature, true friendships, top-notch tennis instructors, and a healthy, genuine atmosphere, increasingly rare these days. My children return every year with enthusiasm. Each time I see them stronger, more confident, more "grown-up"—and each time with a tear as they say goodbye. That says it all. If you want your children to grow up smart, sporty, happy, and healthy… Brallo is definitely the right place.
A wonderful experience for the kids, with excellent instructors and a full immersion in sports and physical activity!
Unhygienic center: dirty rooms, dirty walls covered in cobwebs, 50-year-old sheets and blankets that are unsightly, dirty bathrooms. Repetitive food, meat for lunch and dinner, water that smells of sewage and chlorine, packaged snacks: nothing like the healthy, balanced diet for athletes that the center so touts. Shameful lice control: the girls who do it have probably never seen a nit in their life, so much so that they mistake simple scalp scales for lice eggs! Little attention, especially for the younger children, who, being their first experience away from their families, should be better looked after, especially in the evenings. My son came back exhausted, not very happy, and never wants to return. Very expensive experience for what is offered. Not worth it.
