Sporting Club San Severo ASD is a long-running multi-sport club on Strada Statale 16 towards Foggia, at km 1.500, on the edge of San Severo in northern Puglia. Founded on 30 November 1967, it still presents itself as the city's largest sports centre: tennis remains the flagship, with padel added as a second racket sport. Official club news records a first padel court opening to members and a second court inaugurated in October 2024 with a new gym and a third clay tennis court. The tennis school (FITP staff) now includes padel in school outreach and the summer camp. Booking for tennis and padel runs through Wansport. The site is a members' circolo with credit-account court hire, guest supplements, and a club house rather than an open commercial padel box.

Current official copy lists two padel courts in the greenery of the two-hectare grounds, alongside five tennis courts (clay and resin, some pressostatic-covered in winter), a new gym, two pools, futsal, 3v3 basketball, a tennis wall, beach tennis-volleyball, a jogging path, children's play space, and parking. The older structure page also describes a club house with bar, TV room, card room, billiards, secretariat, and several changing rooms including pool-side locker rooms. Padel court surface and glass type are not specified. Rackets can be requested at reception and must be returned after play. The October 2024 inauguration completed a Sport Periferie 2020 upgrade that the club says earned a CONI four-star homologation.
Abbonamento e prenotazione
Court hire is reserved for full members and their families, individual frequentatori, and tennis/padel frequentatori with a valid medical certificate. The board can issue new padel frequency cards on application. Bookings go through Wansport (sportingsansevero.wansport.com) on a prepaid credit account; full members share a family pot, others have an individual pot, with a €10 overdraft cap. Official padel format is doubles only, 1.5 hours, €6 per person for entitled players and €10 per guest. The booker must name all players. Each entitled player was limited to one padel booking in the following seven days at launch. 2026 membership (tesseramento) is advertised on the homepage. Tennis club that I attend in individual tournaments and team tournaments, grown exponentially in recent years, with a new clay tennis court and new gym and restaurant, greetings to dear tennis friends, Ciro, a person always available and to M^ Fabio Marasco passionate about his work with tenacity for the good of his students.

I was there in April to see Tacchinardi, Iuliano and Amoruso playing padel. I saw that it was very nice and the people were kind and professional. Now, with the sinner mania, I also felt like playing tennis, as I used to follow this sport sometimes in the past and I know some of the rules.
