Membership & Pricing

Full membership starting at £33/month (U25 and U30 memberships also available). Full membership gives access to all facilities. Members pay £4.5 per hour for padel, non-members pay £10 per hour (£12 during peak). Booking via Playtomic app, online booking system, or The Northern App

Founded in 1881, longest established racquets and fitness club in the region, proud history of success in both tennis and squash. Padel is a fast-paced, social racket sport that is often described as a mix between tennis and squash. Predominantly played as doubles, padel is suitable for anyone to play and it is easy to learn the basic skills. Padel is played on what looks like a smaller tennis court, with a net dividing both sides and glass walls surrounding it – which you can play the ball off to try and win the point. Bookings can be made on 60 minute & 90 minute basis.

Courts are very nice, both the outdoor synthetic clay and indoor hard courts. Gym and padel tennis are provided as well as a bar.

Great squash facilities and the perfect venue for several racket sports. The club includes some of the best facilities in the north west for playing tennis, squash, racketball, and padel. There is also a gym and racket shop onsite. . The lawnroom provides a good range of food and drink options and some really call tennis nostalgia. Both pool and darts are available in the main bar + outdoor seating. . If I still lived in south Manchester I'd join the Northern.

Visited for a wedding reception, lots of parking, easy to find. Lovely food and venue. Would recommend

Great club with some really nice facilities. The new refurbed bar is excellent!
