PADELZONE Wr. Neustadt | Achtersee is an outdoor padel venue beside Achtersee lake at Brunner Straße 172/174 in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria. Four outdoor doubles courts are open daily from 07:00 to 23:00 and bookable via Eversports, with weekday rates from €28 per hour before 16:00 and €36 from 16:00 plus weekends and holidays. Racket hire costs €4 from an on-site machine; access codes arrive with your booking confirmation. After play you can cool off at the lake, use showers and changing rooms, or unwind at Beachclub Himmelblau next door for food and drinks. Open-air facility by the Achtersee lake with food options. Great!
The facility itself is beautiful and everything is in impeccable condition. However, the pricing is a salami tactic. After selecting a court in the online system, you suddenly have to specify the number of "guests" again, which is then charged on top (?). At the facility itself, they charge an additional €4 each for renting rackets, which I find absolutely exorbitant. And you'd have to pay extra for balls, which is truly outrageous. Ultimately, the base price of €34 for an hour of padel on a Sunday (which is already outrageous) climbs to over €50, which is simply unacceptable. Furthermore, the locker system is unreliable, and we had problems renting rackets. I definitely wouldn't recommend Padelzone as a provider – good concept, but simply overpriced.
