The Centre de loisirs de Retinne is a municipal leisure park in Fléron, fully renovated in 2022 after a 1.8-million-euro investment and reopened on 22 October that year. Two outdoor padel courts sit inside the wider sports complex at Rue de la Vaulx 79, operated by Horizon Padel Fléron within the Espace Sport Fléron structure. The 7-hectare site mixes free public recreation — playground, 200 m athletics track, 600 m lit walking loop, pump track, beach volleyball, pétanque, multisport pitch and Fairies'topia café — with bookable padel through the Fléron Sport app. Padel here is community-oriented rather than a standalone commercial club: courts share the renovated Retinne plain that draws families, walkers and local sports groups from across eastern Liège.
Facilities
Padel bookings via the Fléron Sport app with Visa or Bancontact payment. Non-subscribers pay 5 euros per person off-peak or 9 euros per person peak per reservation. Subscribers receive 1000 credits — 5 credits off-peak, 9 credits peak per session. Cancel up to three hours before play. Match-finder lets you launch public or private games and fill spare slots. Correct
Completely renovated leisure center, opening October 22, 2022. Features include a 200m athletics track, long jump, shot put, outdoor gym, pétanque courts, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, padel courts, a jump track for BMX, scooters, rollerblades, a track for remote-controlled cars, and a full range of sports training facilities. The site is open free of charge from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week. Excellent! 👍
Leisure park in Retinne. A peaceful place for walking and recreation. Numerous games for children and a scooter track. A volleyball court and a tennis court. Refreshments available in the cafeteria. Large car park in front of the park.
The park has been fabulously renovated. There's a running track, wonderful play structures for children (spider webs, swings), and an outdoor sports area. Part of the park has combined areas for football/basketball and tennis. There's also a pétanque court and a skate park. A bike path and a cafeteria are also available. Honestly, I wasn't disappointed at all! I'd gladly go back! PS: Food and drinks are prohibited in the complex (a bit of a shame if you want to have a picnic – which we did in the center's parking lot!).
A really lovely place for young children and adults alike. But can electric scooters be banned before a tragedy occurs?
