Membership & Pricing

Royal Antwerp Tennis Club is a long-standing racket address in Wommelgem on the eastern edge of Antwerp, reachable via Mariastraat 10 or the Autolei 113 entrance near Bowling Stones. The club brands itself as the friendliest tennis club in Antwerp — a social, volunteer-driven community where competitive players and beginners share six outdoor gravel courts and four indoor winter courts from mid-September to mid-April. Padel joined the mix with three new floodlit outdoor crystal courts that complete the sporting offer and book separately as Royal Antwerp Padel Club on Playtomic. A sunny terrace cafeteria, ample parking and weekly club nights every Thursday at 7pm keep the atmosphere lively, while ladies' mornings and men's afternoons structure social play through the week. The board continues to invest in the site with plans for a new cafeteria and renewed access roads. For Antwerp players who want padel beside a traditional tennis club without driving into the city centre, RATC is a practical suburban choice.

Facilities

Tennis membership is handled directly through RATC — contact info@ratc.be to join the club and access tennis courts, the tennis school and internal tournaments including the Caus Cup and summer interclub competitions. Padel court hire is available on Playtomic for pay-and-play bookings without requiring tennis membership, though club members may receive preferential access depending on current policy — confirm with the office. Phone 03 322 63 03 or mobile 0474 18 18 65 for membership and padel enquiries. Some recent reviews note wear on older padel surfaces; the club page describes the padel courts as newly installed relative to the legacy tennis infrastructure.

Nice organisation, the infrastructure is currently under construction.

This site is outdated and is in need of a thorough renovation and modernization. I was here for a birthday poker tournament in one of the rooms under the main complex. Everything was available.

Padel courts are in terrible condition. Holes in the court, the court slopes unevenly,...

Great club, easy to find tennis partners. Now with 3 paddle courts. Interclub doubles and singles tournaments this summer, and Caus Cup. A vibrant club.

Top club, small-scale but hyper-ambitious people and just great tennis. New padel courts on the way by June and Els Callens as top coach!
