Tennis Club Pyrenees Bigorre 65 is a family tennis club in Chis, a few minutes from Tarbes in the Hautes-Pyrenees. Tennis remains the backbone, with three covered clay courts and an outdoor hard court, but the 2023 padel installation quickly became a draw in its own right. The outdoor padel court is homologated category 25, aimed at leisure play while still meeting federation standards. Julien Evennou runs the tennis and padel schools, and the clubhouse with its fireplace, bar, and social evenings gives the place a village-club feel that regulars clearly value. Padel bookings opened to the public through Ten'Up, so you do not need to be a member to try the court.
Facilities
Padel: reserve on Ten'Up; members and visitors welcome with racket rental on arrival. Tennis: individual and group lessons for adults and juniors, court hire by the hour, and teams in departmental and regional competitions. Club membership opens the full social calendar of meals, evenings, and board-game nights. Huge tennis centre with three indoor clay courts and a padel.court outside. I think there was a pickelball court too. Nice set up
After a few training sessions with Julien, the enjoyment is definitely back. The clay court is truly delightful, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Furthermore, Julien is a great listener, and his advice is relevant and effective.
A warm and friendly club, both for owners and members. The courses are very well maintained, and the services offered for the 2022 price are more than reasonable. I highly recommend it. Beginners and experienced players alike have a place for everyone.
Very friendly club that goes out of its way to find a partner when you don't have one. Great welcome, the classes are very well maintained and the teacher is always attentive to the needs of his students. I highly recommend it.
