Tennis Club de La Garde has been a fixture in the Var since 1971, tucked on Chemin de la Planquette in the hills above Toulon. The club runs on volunteer energy — a board led by president Christine Taquet and a team of certified coaches including Benjamin Pernoud and Stéphane Liance — and the atmosphere shows it. Visitors for corporate matches and local tournaments consistently praise the welcome. Padel is a newer addition: two courts sit alongside six outdoor and two covered tennis courts, which keeps the padel schedule tight on busy weekends (a complaint you will hear from tournament players). The modern clubhouse terrace is where members linger after sessions. Online court booking is available through the club website, and the FFT-licensed membership model covers both tennis and padel access.
Facilities
FFT licence and club membership required for regular play. 2024/25 season rates: young players €120, students €170, adults €230 — all include unlimited access to outdoor and covered tennis courts on reservation. Padel court booking follows the same membership and online reservation system as tennis. Non-members should contact the club directly for guest play options. Collective training packages start from 1.5 hours per week over 30 weeks outside school holidays.

Good complex but too few padel courts. This makes our tournaments very long. Otherwise, the club is great and very welcoming!
I played at TC La Garde as part of a corporate tennis match. Honestly, I've rarely received such a warm welcome at a tennis club. The reception from the club staff during our match was fantastic. We had a very easy time playing together; it's exactly the kind of club we love. The facilities are top-notch (changing rooms, indoor courts, large parking lot, etc.). In short, it was perfect, don't change a thing!
The complex is well-maintained and the number of courts is very adequate. Parking is easy as the parking lot is huge. We had a great time playing sports in a quiet area, not far from the shops!
