Grenoble Université Club (GUC) Tennis on Avenue de Vignate in the Domaine Universitaire at Saint-Martin-d'Hères is the largest tennis club in the Grenoble area and one of the oldest, founded in 1967. Despite the university name, the club presents itself as open to everyone, with padel now woven into the same Ten'Up ecosystem as its 19 tennis courts. Four floodlit outdoor padel lanes sit on the Gières campus beside covered tennis courts, a gym, club house, and training wall. The site is easy to reach by tram lines B and C, bike paths, and campus parking, which makes it a hub for students, staff, and city players alike.
Facilities
All padel booking and memberships run through Ten'Up. Non-members reserve via hourly rental on the app or tenup.fft.fr/location-horaire, searching Gières or Grenoble for padel up to two days ahead. Members book up to seven days ahead, receive three guest invitations, gym access, partner discounts, and FFT licence benefits. Annual padel adhesion runs from about 25 to 246 euros per person depending on category; half-season rates open around mid-April and summer July-August tariffs are cheaper. Reduced rates exist for students, retirees, unemployed, parents of juniors, and UGA staff. Send supporting documents to leguctennis@gmail.com.

As a padel player, I appreciate how easy it is to book courts. I do find it a shame that simultaneous bookings aren't possible. I think it would be helpful to have some guidelines for proper court maintenance. As a player, I would appreciate a bench to put on my shoes and rest. A water fountain on site would also be welcome. The staff are friendly and efficient.
I went to the GUC this Sunday afternoon and was greeted by a handsome blond man with curly hair and blue eyes. Very charming and friendly, he made me feel very welcome. He gave me all the information I needed. I highly recommend this place; it's a very pleasant experience. See you soon!
