Karlsruher Eislauf- und Tennisverein 1911 e.V. (KETV) is one of Baden's historic racket clubs, with 450 members on a riverside Alb site at Kriegsstraße 300 near the Kühlen Krug. Ten outdoor and two indoor tennis courts share the grounds with a single floodlit outdoor padel court installed in 2016 — among Karlsruhe's first. Winter brings ice skating; summer brings terrace life at Marianne's Flammkuchen. The Lutz Tennis School runs junior programmes; padel enquiries go to a dedicated club team.
Facilities
Padel membership from €140 adult (€90 club + €50 flat, 2024 rates) or €60 junior; flat-rate holders book free slots online. Per-player court share €4.50–6 when sharing with non-flat partners. Fantastic tennis facility, recently modernized and up-to-date. This tennis club organizes many great events, especially for young players. The affiliated Lutz Tennis School is exceptionally well-run: all the tennis instructors I've encountered there as my children's coaches are not only technically skilled but also pedagogically sensitive, which was and is an important factor for my children.
Excellent service as always. The tarte flambée in all its variations is simply delicious. You don't even need to go to Alsace.
