Padel Port is the first indoor padel facility in the Ostalbkreis district, housed inside the Soma Sports complex (Squash & Fit) in Waldstetten near Schwäbisch Gmünd. Four super-panoramic courts sit under a heated hall with roughly ten metres of headroom, so lobs and competitive play feel unrestricted. Local hobby players Michael and Patrick launched the project to grow padel around Schwäbisch Gmünd, and the venue has quickly become a community hub — WhatsApp groups help you find partners, and beginners can walk in without gear. After matches, players drift to the bar, sauna or open lounge to debrief.
Facilities
Book on Playtomic — search Padel Port Waldstetten. Off-peak from €7 per person (€28/h court, Mon–Fri until 16:00); regular rates higher evenings and weekends. Racket rental +€3, balls +€7 (balls are yours to keep). Wellpass members can play up to 1.5 hours free per day. Individual and group coaching available. Contact info@padel-port.com or 07171 4686. This week I played padel at Padel Port Schwäbisch Gmünd for the first time. Information about an available spot for a 4-person team came through the WhatsApp group. Booking and payment were very straightforward via the Playtomic app. The atmosphere in the hall was very relaxed! The snack and coffee afterwards at the bar were delicious! The staff were very friendly!
A super modern padel tennis hall with a really friendly team right at the counter! Booking is easy via the Playtomic app, where you can also find players of a similar skill level. I'm still a beginner myself, but it was really fun – everyone was fair and friendly. Rental rackets (Wilson) are available on-site for €3. Great: plenty of parking right outside. A small suggestion for the next level: simple boards at the courts to display scores would be practical. Highly recommended and a real asset to the region!
Indoor facility with 4 excellent padel courts. Changing rooms and showers are available. The building also houses a gym, badminton, and squash courts. Food and drinks are also available. Highly recommended for padel tennis.
