Membership & Pricing

Hanbury Tennis Club is a centenary racket club in the heart of Alassio's Baia del Sole, founded in 1923 by Daniel Hanbury and now a member of the international Centenary Tennis Clubs association. Fifteen thousand square metres of Mediterranean gardens wrap a colonial-style clubhouse where Hopman, Crawford, Pietrangeli and other legends once played on red clay. Today the site lists seven clay tennis courts including a Gianni Clerici show court, three padel courts, a pickleball lane and a restaurant overlooking the central court. Visitors praise the historic dining rooms, tennis memorabilia and fair restaurant prices, with many saying they plan to return for padel.

Facilities

Book courts through the club website or the Wansport booking portal at hanburytennisclub.wansport.com. Open daily 8am to 9pm or 10pm depending on the day. Adult tennis school courses and private lessons are listed on the prices page; padel hire rates are confirmed by phone or email. Contact info@hanburytennisclub.it or 0182 640174 for court rental, lessons and restaurant bookings.

We only tried the restaurant and we were very happy. The food was excellent and the prices fair. The location is absolutely beautiful, you dine sitting in a room that has seen history come through. Would be nice to go back, also to play padel.

The most tasty piccolo Pesto Ravioli with a Pesto garlic drizzle to have whilst you read your newspaper and relax in the peaceful early afternoons...😌
