Saint Patrick Racquet Country Club sits on the lakeside in Angera, on the Lombardy shore of Lake Maggiore in the province of Varese. The municipal sports site on Viale Ungheria is a compact racket centre run by the St. Patrick club, better known locally as Saint Patrick Tennis Club. Players come for clay and synthetic tennis plus a single outdoor padel court that shares the same lakeside setting. What stands out is the location itself: courts open onto a garden with loungers and umbrellas, and a small club house anchors the social side of the place. In colder months the tennis courts go under heated pressostatic covers so play continues through autumn and winter. Recent years brought a restyling push, with refurbished courts, new changing rooms, and plans for a bar, while the club still runs a structured tennis school alongside casual court hire.
Facilities
Annual club membership for tennis players is €40, with a sympathiser card for non-players at €15. An open annual card at €550 bundles membership with unlimited court hours. Seasonal custom memberships are available through the secretary. Court hire for members runs about €23 per hour in winter (lights and heating included under the cover) and €16 in summer without cover; weekday mornings Monday–Friday 11:00–14:00 are listed at €20. Non-members pay €28 winter and €20 summer. Residents of Angera, over-65s, and under-18s get a €1 discount on the hourly court rate. A valid non-competitive medical certificate is required at membership signup. Group and individual tennis lessons have separate school tariffs held at the club house.

Very nice.
I loved it. The location is fantastic. The courts are well-maintained. Luca is kind and courteous and available for any need. Cold showers, at least during this time of year, aren't a problem. It's a shame I live a bit far away.
A terrible experience in every way. When you sign up for the tennis lesson, make sure the secretary writes down everything she says. If it rains in the morning, stay home (I live 5 km from Angera). Don't make any other plans, because if it's sunny in the afternoon, the lesson will take place.
