Kathara - Sport Club

A delightful discovery in Caltagirone! We visited Kathara for the first time on the evening of August 14th, along with some local friends who had already raved about it, and I must say it exceeded our expectations. The location is truly beautiful and well-kept: large green spaces, several seating areas, a beautiful pool that, especially when lit at night, adds significantly to the atmosphere, and even a paddle court, which is definitely an added bonus. We also enjoyed the music, and overall the atmosphere was truly pleasant. We had cocktails, which were well-prepared and decidedly generous, and we were satisfied with that as well. Since it was the evening before Ferragosto, we were just expecting a little more activity, and, looking for something more lively, after a while we decided to continue the evening elsewhere. However, as we wandered around Caltagirone later, we realized that the city in general was particularly quiet that evening, so I don't consider this a negative point at all. A recommended place, and one we'd definitely love to return to. I'd love to try it during the day, too, perhaps spending an afternoon by the pool and taking full advantage of everything the property has to offer. Five well-deserved stars!

Negative experience. Incorrect pricing information, favoritism at the pool and in the dining room. Terrible service; we waited an hour and a half for two ham and provola sandwiches. These items were on the menu but "unfortunately" unavailable, at least for us.

A wonderful day spent at the pool with its adjoining bar for refreshments and the option of playing tennis/padel or even volleyball on the sand. Helpful staff.

Well, what can I say? It's the ideal place to relax. The pool is very nice and simple, with comfortable loungers. You can get drinks, etc., and even eat at lunchtime. The staff is always friendly. We'll be back. It's a big difference from the municipal pool.
