Cristoforo Colombo Beach and Padel Club opened in central Genoa in 2015, redeveloping the bocce section of the historic Societa Ginnastica Cristoforo Colombo into a 3,000-square-metre multi-sport hub on Scalinata del Milite Ignoto. It claims to have been the first Ligurian centre to combine padel with dedicated beach volleyball and beach tennis areas under cover. The heated indoor hall lets sand and racket sports run through winter, while a summer terrace and chiosco handle aperitivi and events. A 90-square-metre fitness room, outdoor fitness court and children's play area round out a club aimed at social as well as competitive play.
