A Torre Sport Center is the municipal sports complex known locally as Ciudad Deportiva La Torre, perched on the hillside below the Torre de Hércules in A Coruña. Run by the city sports department, it is best known for its artificial-turf football pitches—five full-size or seven-a-side fields, several with floodlights and one with seating for nearly 1,000 spectators—but padel players come for the pair of outdoor municipal courts tucked among the wider facilities. Basketball, a short fronton wall, and key courts for pelota complete the mix. The setting offers striking sea-and-monument views that reviewers love, though the exposed coastal location means wind, rain, and cold are part of the deal, and parking can fill quickly when the tower, beach, and sports users arrive at once. Changing rooms and a cafeteria exist, but spectator shelter and parking remain common complaints.

Facilities

Padel court hire is managed by A Coruña municipal sports. Book online via Cronos Web after registering in person at the Deportes de Riazor office (Palacio de Deportes de Riazor) with ID and email, or book at the Riazor registration desk (preferably with prior appointment). Municipal rate for one hour of singles or doubles padel: 3.18 euros (Ordenanza Fiscal nº 15). Full details on coruna.gal under Alquiler Pistas Municipales de Pádel.

Excellent place, the view is beautiful... the weather is phenomenal

The football pitches are great, which is the most important thing for playing sports, but the restrooms desperately need renovation. There are practically no stands, let alone covered ones, and unless you go first thing in the morning, forget about parking. The parking at the tower is nowhere near enough, and there are never any free spaces in the adjacent area. Even though it's a very beautiful area around the tower, it's frequently windy, cold, and rainy, and there are hardly any places to take shelter. When you have to take your child to football practice and wait...you really miss them.

Located in a magnificent setting, it boasts several football pitches, changing rooms, a cafeteria, etc., but it lacks sufficient parking and is not well-equipped for public use. Most of the pitches have no seating or shelter from the rain and wind that are common in this area year-round.

Spacious and well-maintained facilities. The pitches are artificial turf and have been recently renovated. While football ⚽ predominates (4 large pitches + 1 dedicated to 7-a-side football), other activities are also available, such as hockey 🏑, basketball 🏀, padel (2 outdoor courts), and pelota. Being located at the foot of the Tower of Torre de la Victoria offers unique views but also makes it very cold ❄️ and windy 🌬️, especially in winter. The same applies to parking, which is sometimes quite limited, as it is shared with visitors to the monument, the beach, and campervans. On the downside, the booking management 📃 and the staff in general 👥 are not the same; they don't treat clubs and individuals equally.

Now there's a cafeteria next to the pavilion. But the facilities still need a lot of maintenance and some updating. They've been around for years and have served the sporting community of A Coruña well. But families deserve to be able to watch the games in better conditions, seated and sheltered from the weather and wind... Especially in this area near the Tower of Hercules.
