SMA Barbastro Complejo Deportivo is the El Ariño sports park run by the Sociedad Mercantil y Artesana, a non-profit cultural and sports association rooted in Barbastro since 1947. Padel sits alongside tennis and fronton in the racket-sports zone, while the wider site adds football, basketball, minigolf, three swimming pools, barbecue areas and family lawns that visitors describe as clean and well kept. New padel courts opened in 2019 as the first phase of architect Eduardo Pascau plan to expand the Ariño complex, built locally with online booking, a member app and fingerprint access developed by Fit Cloud. Use is aimed at members: more than a thousand families belong, with quarterly fees that unlock courts, pools and discounted activities across the SMA network in town.
Facilities
Membership required for padel and most sports: Familiar 82 EUR trimester, Adult 38 EUR, Juvenile 55 EUR, Junior 60 EUR per year (2026 tariffs on smabarbastro.es). Benefits include padel, tennis, fronton, pools, barbecues and billiards plus discounts on courses and hall hire. Sign up via Hazte Socio with photo and SEPA mandate. Padel reservations through the SMA booking app.

In my humble opinion, the best swimming pool in the entire Barbastro area. Peaceful, with a great view of the pool, plenty of shade, and very well maintained.

Great! The atmosphere is super family-friendly, with no unpleasantness or harsh rules. The grass is luxurious and there's plenty of shade. There are plenty of picnic areas and even a simple, basic restaurant. There are swings and ping-pong tables. A wonderful day!
