Amazing club in the Montalvos industrial park in Salamanca. Incredible value for money on the slopes—the best! The cafeteria is super spacious and reasonably priced, offering grilled food, burgers, and a wide variety of tapas. The staff are lovely and incredibly attentive.
My assessment of this club can only be extremely negative due to the lack of professionalism and transparency in the organization of its tournaments. A friend wanted to register for the first division, but the club itself told him there was only one spot left in the second division, so he accepted and signed up there. The problem came later: after winning two matches and qualifying to play on Sunday, the club officials decided to disqualify him, arguing that he was "too good for the second division," when they themselves were the ones who hadn't allowed him to enter the first division. To top it all off, instead of respecting the sporting result, they gave a place in the next round to a pair that had already been beaten on the court. A tournament should be based on clear rules, equal treatment, and respect for the players, and none of that was the case here. A very bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend this club for serious competitions.
I'm from Tenerife, and my experience at the first tournament I played at these facilities was VERY NEGATIVE. My partner and I decided to register in the second category, and after playing two matches, the club owners decided to disqualify us from the tournament because "we were too skilled." Second-category players who played in the next round were at the same level as us, and, to top it off, one of the club members was registered in the second category with a player who had just played in the first category that morning. If the rules are going to be applied, they should apply to all players. A clear example is if we had registered in the first category and lost 6-0, 6-0 in the first round, I'm sure no one would have refunded our money, nor would they have spoken to the winners to tell them they couldn't play due to being too skilled. This is a clear example of poor organization and poor scheduling, which I hope won't happen again. They refunded our money as if to "not complain," when in the end, all we wanted was to play, and money isn't what matters. After speaking with the owners, politely and respectfully of course, for the second time, they told us the decision was final and there would be no further discussion… This meant we were disqualified from the tournament and unable to play the remaining three matches. It's a disgrace. It affects not only us but also the other participants and spectators who were watching and listening to the conversation.
I'd heard great things about this club, and I've been here a couple of times and I couldn't agree more. Paco's service is unbeatable, the food is delicious, especially the tortilla ;)
Paco, what kind of eggs do you use to make those tortillas? They're even better than Dabiz Muñoz's! 😃 They're amazing!!! I was there two days ago and everything was perfect.
