Membership & Pricing

Surge Padel Bristol is a large indoor padel centre at Unit 1 on Lodge Causeway Trading Estate in Fishponds. The venue runs eight panoramic indoor courts under one roof and positions itself as a premium indoor padel destination for Bristol and the surrounding area. It suits players who want year-round weather-proof play without relying on outdoor covers. The feel is warehouse-conversion sporty rather than country club, but reviews consistently praise clean courts, friendly staff, and a welcoming vibe for beginners through regulars. Daytime court rates are often called good value compared with other Bristol and Gloucestershire venues. Coaches such as Gary and Gabrielle get frequent mentions for raising the standard of play and joining in with members. Free parking on site helps, though spaces are limited and there is a one-way system on the estate.

Facilities

Surge sells discounted court-rate packages rather than a single all-in membership. Gold Peak and Gold Off Peak packages include blocks of 20 one-hour court sessions for up to four people, with peak covering weekday evenings and weekend daytime, and off-peak covering weekday daytime plus early weekend slots. Bronze and other package levels offer smaller credit amounts that can also apply to group coaching, club tournaments, social events and leagues. Network membership across Surge clubs unlocks reduced rates on courts and coaching. A club wallet is recommended by regulars to avoid higher Playtomic booking charges. Check current pricing on the Surge Bristol site or Playtomic page as packages change.

Great indoor padel hall with great field condition, not slippery because very little sand, ceilings are relatively high and easy bookable online. All in all great and cheap as well!

I've been playing intermittently at Surge Padel, Bristol, for about two years, and travel 35 miles each way. It is easy to find, parking is available and whilst it can get busy I've never had any problems getting a space. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and you get a hello when you arrive, which is important. I recently needed help with setting up my club wallet and they took the time to go through the process. I recommend the wallet given Playtomic booking charges are expensive. It's a friendly venue too, you can find good opponents, good banter, and it is inclusive. The club encourages new players. For example, when I've been playing we see a weekly group of 20 ladies playing beginner social padel. There's plenty of laughter from the courts as they're having fun, but it is still competitive. The court charges in the day are really good value, especially compared to other venues in Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham. I mention this because mid-week mornings is a good time to trial the sport. In the last year, two new coaches, Gary and Gabrielle, have raised the standard of play across the club. When able they also join in games or hit a bit with members, which is great to see them being generous with their time. Worth mentioning the club has a good racket section, and lots of padel accessories.

I absolutely love coming to Surge, the facilities are clean and in good order. The courts are always in perfect condition - this club has a lovely welcoming vibe. Parking is never an issue. Both Gary and Gabriella are fantastic padel coaches, wish I lived in Bristol!

Great padel courts, cheap coffees and other drinks. Really clean environment, can be a bit cold as just in a warehouse. Bat rental is a bit expensive here at £5 per bat.
