The Limpsfield Club is a long-established family racket club on Detillens Lane in Limpsfield, Surrey, with more than 125 years of history and around 1,500 members across tennis, squash, badminton and table tennis. Padel arrived in June 2021 when two Italian-built outdoor courts opened with World Padel Tour-spec Mondo Supercourt XN blue carpet — a serious surface for a village club between Oxted and the Kent border. The sport fits the club's social DNA: mixed-age doubles, internal box leagues, iPadel league teams and a Wednesday daytime mix-in from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Coaching is led by in-house coach Robin Engelbertink and visiting expert Dan Troy, with junior holiday camps at Easter and summer. Recent clubhouse renovations have upgraded the bar, dining areas, gym and changing rooms, giving padel players the same post-match hospitality as tennis members. Demand outstripped supply quickly, so padel membership is capped and access rules tightened in April 2025 to protect court availability for dedicated padel members while legacy outdoor and indoor members retain limited off-peak slots.
Facilities
Padel at Limpsfield is members-only — there is no public pay-and-play. Because only two courts serve a large membership base, padel access is capped and tiered. Members who joined after 1 April 2025 need a dedicated padel membership to book courts at all. Existing outdoor or indoor members from before that date may use padel during off-peak windows: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 12pm, and weekend evenings 5pm to 9pm. A Peak Padel uplift fee unlocks booking any day from 9am to 9:30pm. New applicants should expect a waiting list for padel-specific membership given court limits. Tennis, squash and other racket memberships remain separate pathways into the club.

Good place to entertain all ages, nice and clean. Staff are very friendly. Plenty of parking space. Badminton, table tennis and tennis game facility
Great Tennis / Padel Club Excellent facilities and friendly members
I was assisting the resident table tennis coach on a service camp she was running. I'm also a table tennis member. The facilities are now really good after the renovations. The food is good and the bar staff friendly. There seem to be lots of events and things happening. It's a good place to be.
2 Badminton courts with modern sprung flooring. The badminton section is friendly and holds club nights on Mondays, Thursdays and Friday. Competitive league play available for stronger players.
Super friendly Club. Glyn was very welcoming. Courts standard very high. Very safe for children. I look forward to visiting in the future.
