The Padel Den is Sandbach's first dedicated padel venue, based at Elworth Cricket Club on London Road (CW11 3BF). Two outdoor courts opened in mid-2025 after a group of cricket-loving friends decided the town needed a proper place to play. The tone of the club is community-first: open matches, WhatsApp group chat, ladies and mixed tournaments, Prosecco and Padel evenings, Padel and a Pint sessions, and junior holiday camps sit alongside ordinary court hire. Reviews repeatedly mention a supportive beginner scene and a close-knit local group, which matches how the operators describe themselves. Being next to the cricket club also means post-match drinks are part of the ritual for many players. Floodlights keep evening sessions going through the darker months, and free equipment hire lowers the barrier for first-timers.
Facilities
Bookings run through Playtomic. Non-members can typically book ahead (Playtomic club copy mentions up to 14 days for standard booking windows, with some older notes referring to longer calendar visibility). Padel Den Membership is £10 per month and includes 10% off court bookings, priority booking up to 21 days ahead, up to 8 active bookings at once, and more flexibility around peak slots. Cancellation on membership terms is listed as up to 12 hours before. Coaching and group activity include gameplay sessions, skills and technique development with coach Tom Seabridge, junior summer camps for ages 7-10 and 11-14, midweek Americanos, mixed tournaments and social events such as Prosecco and Padel. A free WhatsApp community is linked from the club's Linktree for finding games and staying in the loop.

Fantastic facility at Elworth Cricket Club, very popular.
Great facility for Padel. Courts are well maintained, free equipment for those without & located conveniently next to a cricket club for post-Padel drinks! Great, supportive community here also for beginners - would strongly recommend.
Really good to have padel courts in the area and it was my first introduction to the sport that I’m now obsessed with🫣. The courts are well maintained with regular upgrades being made and has a close knit padel community with regular open matches to join so there is always a chance to play!
Great padel spot. The courts are in top shape. Free equipment hire is a nice touch and everything’s in solid condition. Court hire prices are good compared to others 👌
