Nice courts and a good old fashioned clubhouse !
Great padel court, and tennis courts, friendly staff
Unfortunately, like the review below we have separate but similar experiences of safeguarding problems with Eoin Swan (of Eoin Swan Tennis), including squads run with open favouritism and bullying. Our child was subjected to coach lying and bullying, which was proven, but also suffered due to the failure of the club to step in and protect vulnerable children from him. There is now a material number of children all removed from Hatton, and specifically Eoin Swan coaching programmes, in the last 18 months. Staggering these behaviours continue to go unchecked at Hatton. Yet, incidents are openly discussed between members, parents and ex-members/parents (if our incident had been dealt with properly sounds like others since would have been spared.) Shocking...
Hatton Club (through ignoring behaviours) but particularly the Hatton coach have a nasty attitude. The Club lacks appropriate governance processes, independence (in club committee from coaching team) and understanding of their existing obligations and protections they should be following by adhering to the LTA framework of polices/ procedures/ conduct etc. Too many repeat incidents (openly discussed in the wider East of Scotland tennis community) about the repeat pattern of bad coaching (and the Club's attitude to allow and ignore). Avoid Hatton, there are better tennis clubs and coaching options available elsewhere locally.
Revisited Hatton to play after many years to play squash, and still a great little spot to play, with nice friendly members to make you feel welcome.
