Membership & Pricing

Acacia Tennis Academy runs the racket sports programme inside Carcassonne’s Cité des Sports, a large covered complex on Avenue du Général Sarrail. The association focuses on tennis, padel and squash under a co-presidency (Romain Sabater and Arnaud Larregain), with coaches Méline Suisse and Stéphane Decoster leading teaching. On the city association page the club describes itself as friendly for group tennis lessons for children, teenagers and adults, while also preparing younger players for regional tournaments. Padel sits at the centre of the current offer: six lit indoor courts opened in the racket hall, bookable alongside tennis and squash. The Occitanie sports directory lists thirteen courts in total and calls the club fully covered, which matches how players experience it year-round in the Aude. Sessions are open to mixed groups across age bands, and the club notes handisport and adapted-sport welcome. You book court time through the academy’s Doinsport portal or partner apps rather than the main Cité des Sports fitness booking system.

Facilities

Court hire does not require a long membership if you book through Anybuddy or the academy’s online tools—drop-in padel is available. Official Cité des Sports padel rates for 1h30 distinguish licensed and non-licensed players: weekday off-peak roughly 27€ / 30€, peak weekday evenings and weekend slots roughly 36€ / 40€ (licensed / non-licensed). Partner booking sites often show slot prices in a similar 32–36€ band depending on time. The academy runs a sports school with collective tennis coaching for kids, teens and adults, plus competitive pathways for juniors; padel teaching is led by the named coaches on site. Co-presidents and teaching staff are listed on the municipal and association pages if you need a direct club contact. For other Cité des Sports activities (fitness, pool), a separate annual entry fee applies by age and Carcassonne residency, but tennis/padel/squash reservations go through Acacia’s own software and apps (web, iOS, Android).

Usually satisfied with the club, and a former player, I was very disappointed with the welcome and the service. The manager was condescending, telling us we could play without any problems by paying for the lights, knowing full well that one of my friends had only recently joined the club. Thirty minutes later, another manager arrived and treated us rudely, telling us we had to pay 6 euros per person. Politeness doesn't cost anything, and neither does honesty. I suggest you avoid this club.

A great momentum for this club in rebuilding mode. 👍

The staff are incredibly friendly and professional, from the teacher to the bartender. It feels like home, absolutely fantastic. Thank you!

Incorrect phone number, I left an email message, no response, does the club still exist?

It's a magnificent place for practicing squash, tennis, padel, and more.
