Cité des Sports is Carcassonne's main municipal multi-sport complex on Avenue Général Sarrail, spanning 9,700 square metres with more than 25 disciplines under one roof and across its outdoor zones. Padel arrived as a headline addition during the 2022–2024 renovation, growing from two original courts to six lit panoramic layouts completed in September 2024. The Acacia Tennis Academy manages padel bookings, coaching and competitions through its own app, while the wider centre offers swimming, gym, squash, tennis and group fitness. Future plans include wooden modular grandstands with capacity for around 600 spectators, underlining the city's ambition to make Carcassonne a padel reference in the Aude.

Facilities

Padel court hire is handled by Acacia Tennis Academy rather than generic centre reception, with teachers Méline Suisse and Stéphane Decoster and co-presidents Romain Sabater and Arnaud Larregain listed on the club page. Licensed players pay lower 90-minute rates than visitors, from €27 off-peak to €36–€40 at busy times. Coaching and academy programmes run through Acacia's dedicated booking software. FFT-licensed members benefit from reduced tariffs; casual players book the same courts at standard visitor rates.

Very good tennis, padel and squash courts.

A very nice multi-sports complex. Where, since this year, you can take padel lessons with Chris, a fantastic instructor. The restaurant/bar area is very well laid out with large bay windows overlooking the different courts, allowing you to watch the players while enjoying a delicious meal at a very reasonable price.

In the weight training area, the machines are in very good condition, the staff are friendly and responsive to your needs, and the booking system is well designed.

A completely new complex offering all kinds of activities and sports. The best part is the multi-sports pitch, accessible to everyone, especially children, for impromptu matches.
