Membership & Pricing

Chinon Tennis Club is the main racket-sports venue in Chinon, in the Indre-et-Loire department of Centre-Val de Loire. The club runs tennis, padel, beach tennis and Tennis Santé alongside a busy social calendar. Padel arrived in May 2023 with a dedicated outdoor court, and the sport is now listed year-round on the club's Ten'Up profile next to the older tennis and beach-tennis lines. The site sits on Rue de la Digue Faubourg Saint-Jacques, a short walk from the historic centre, and members describe a welcoming club run by volunteers and coaches who know regulars by name. With seven playing areas across four surface types, Chinon is one of the few places in the Chinon area where you can book padel through the French Tennis Federation's online system rather than travelling to Tours or Poitiers.

Facilities

Court time for padel, tennis and beach tennis is booked through Ten'Up, the FFT's national platform, where you can rent a lane, browse lesson offers and see upcoming competitions. Visitors and members create a Ten'Up account, then reserve the padel court in the same way as the tennis courts. The club also takes enquiries by email from its FFT page and runs seasonal courses for adults and juniors across the racket disciplines. Competition entries and coaching packages are listed under Services on Ten'Up; stringing and racket hire are arranged directly with the club rather than self-serve online. Membership follows the usual French club model with FFT affiliation, and non-members can often book open slots depending on the weekly schedule.

Appalling service! One day we were told we could play with our own equipment (balls, rackets), and the next day we were kicked out for playing on the court; no rackets were provided! Furthermore, we were booed and threatened with a fine. It's a real shame, considering the court is superb but we couldn't even enjoy it. I absolutely do not recommend it!

A very well-organized tennis tournament with superb prizes, including an "induction into the Brotherhood of Rabelaisian Entonneurs."
