Padel Monticello sits in the Complexe sportif San Francescu, a six-hectare municipal sports park in Balagne between the sea and the mountains inland from Île-Rousse. The commune built two padel courts in 2022 on a terrace above the existing tennis courts, choosing open-roof outdoor layouts to suit Corsica's mild climate. Floodlighting since February 2024 extends play until 23:00. Visitors consistently rank it among France's most scenic padel settings—Mediterranean views on one side, mountain backdrop on the other. A municipal padel school runs year-round group lessons for adults and children from age eight.
Facilities
Hourly court hire: €20 daytime, €24 evening (includes lighting). Association rate €10/hour. Racket rental €3/hour per racket; three balls €10. No app or online booking—call ahead, especially in summer. École communale de padel offers annual group courses (beginner and intermediate) via open-day registration each season.
