Essendiéras Padel is the padel arm of Domaine d'Essendiéras, a 360-hectare country estate in Périgord Vert near Saint-Médard-d'Excideuil in the Dordogne. Since April 2025 the domain has operated a single indoor padel court inside the Grange des Bruyères, a converted barn set apart from the main château buildings. The court stays open year-round for holiday guests on the estate and for local players from the Excideuil area and wider Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Padel here fits naturally into a longer stay: the same domain offers tennis, a 9-hole golf course, fishing ponds, football and beach-volleyball pitches, pétanque, pools and more than 25 km of hiking trails, so a match can sit alongside family activities rather than feeling like a trip to a standalone urban club.
Facilities
Reservations open online from Monday at 08:00 for the coming week via the Essendiéras Padel app (iOS and Android) or the Gestion Sports website. Registration is required to create an account and book. Tariffs are listed on the booking platform. Sessions run on the hour for one hour; at the end of play the court key is returned to reception. Appropriate sports clothing and standard on-court behaviour are expected. The court is open to estate guests and the general public, not only residents.
