Merck Racket Sport Arena is the trend-sport extension of Darmstaedter TSG 1846 tennis club at the Woog complex in eastern Darmstadt. Opened in summer 2024 with Merck backing, it adds two outdoor padel courts with plexiglass walls to a site that already has ten clay tennis courts, a three-court indoor hall and new pickleball, touchtennis and beach tennis zones. The club targets students, young adults and older beginners alike, with Wednesday try-out sessions, coaching blocks and a busy social calendar of after-work play and tournament weekends.
Facilities
Padel hire on ebusy per person per hour; padel and tennis members play free. Prime time Mon-Fri 17:00-23:00 and weekends 10:00-19:00 in 90-minute slots. Coaching blocks 63-270 euros by group size. Padel or combined padel-tennis memberships available. Wednesday sampler from 18:30.
