The padel court at TC Hungen sits on the club grounds behind the Stadthalle on Am Grassee, alongside three clay tennis courts and one hard court. The tennis club, founded in 1975, added padel in 2025 for its fiftieth anniversary and became the first club in the Kreis Gießen district to build a court. The investment of around 115,000 euros included 38,000 euros from the Hessian Sportland programme. The court is a standard 10 by 20 metre enclosure with glass and mesh walls. Members and guests book through the club's online system and enter independently via the Airkey smartphone app. Taster courses run for newcomers who want to try the sport before committing.
Facilities
Padel and tennis courts share the club's online booking platform at tc-hungen.app.platzbuchung.de. Membership applications are available on the club website for those who want regular access at member rates. Guests can book independently during guest hours without joining the tennis club. Schnupperkurse (taster sessions) run periodically for beginners. The annual club championship weekend includes padel Americano tournaments for men, women, and juniors.
