Membership & Pricing
Bective Tennis & Padel is a member-run club founded in 1921, tucked inside Energia Park on Donnybrook Road, Dublin 4 — tennis first, with padel added as the sport took off in Ireland. The club lists five all-weather floodlit tennis courts plus one all-weather outdoor padel court for year-round play, with a second padel court flagged as under construction for member use. Padel booking is members-only via CourtReserve (up to 7 days ahead); guest fees and floodlights (€1.50 per 30 minutes) sit on top. John Brady leads padel coaching — fully qualified, contact coaching@bectivetennis.com if you want a trial lesson. Reviews lean hard on community: club nights, charity tournaments and a welcoming bar/social area more than a pure pay-and-play padel shed. Reasonable membership pricing for tennis-plus-padel in Donnybrook is part of the pitch.
Facilities
Padel is currently open to members only; there is a padel waiting list via info@bectivetennis.com. No entrance fee for new members; annual subscriptions cover most court costs — members do not pay for their own court hire, only guests and floodlights when needed. Full vs Associate categories (Family, Couple, Parent+1, Adult, Student, Junior). Full members book up to 7 days ahead. Tennis application is online; padel interest goes through the waiting-list email. Mid-season joiners after 1 August can get a seasonal discount — ask membership@bectivetennis.com or info@bectivetennis.com. Coaching, club nights and tournaments are the social backbone once you are in.

Update: The level of tennis at the club has dropped down recently, with a handful of class 5 players. Still a great club for social tennis and beginners I came across Bective while crossing Energia Park in Donnybrook and sent an inquiry for membership. I was greeted with a warm welcome mail and the process to become a member. The pricing was very reasonable as well, considering the club has both tennis and padel, as well as a bar/social area. Ever since joining I have been a part of multiple social events, including club nights, charity tournaments, and club tennis tournaments. The community feeling is what makes this club stand out amongst the rest. I would definitely recommend coming down to the club and meeting the members if you're interested in joining a tennis club.
