3 Padel

3 Padel is the padel club for Ansião in the Leiria district, opened in 2023 and already a focal point for racket sport in a town that previously had little padel infrastructure. Three named courts—Praxis, Pingo Doce and Ferrus—sit alongside a warm-up zone, lounge terrace overlooking the lanes, bar, kids' zone and ping-pong tables for between matches. The club runs Topázio and Onyx academy groups through the week, school-sport sessions with the local Agrupamento de Escolas de Ansião, social tournaments and corporate team-building. Coaches include Vasco (school padel lead), Joana (former high-level tennis player turned F1 padel competitor) and João Frade, president of the Academia de Ténis de Avelar. In its first year the club reached the Liga de Clubes finals in Lisbon and hosts federated tournaments such as the Torneio de Reis.
