Membership & Pricing

Padel en Cubierto Baena is a covered padel club in Baena, Córdoba, built around year-round play under roof when the weather turns. The club's own Blogspot site doubles as the competition hub: group stages and calendars for Oro, Plata and Bronce categories, a pyramidal league whose points feed an internal ranking, Rey de la Pista events, and mixed, women's and men's draws. Posts describe tournaments that pull pairs from nearby towns such as Priego de Córdoba, Luque, Castro del Río, Puente Genil, Doña Mencía and Alcaudete, plus junior and Halloween youth events with dozens of children. Court hire is part of day-to-day use—the club has run beginner promotions that gift a rental when a member brings a first-time player—and Google Maps categories also list a gym and bar alongside the courts.

Facilities

The club distinguishes socios from non-members. Tournament entry posts on the Blogspot site advertise member discounts—for example 20€ per pair for socios versus 25€ for non-members on a multi-day event—and prize draws have included club membership abonos. Competition structure is membership- and regular-player oriented: a pyramidal league with points counting toward the internal ranking, Rey de la Pista scoring, and separate rankings for second and third men's categories, women's and mixed. Court rental is available for casual play, and the club has promoted free hire days when a club user brings someone new to padel. Booking and competition queries are routed through the contact details published on the club blog.

The owner changes tournament schedules without prior notice and as he pleases. You might play on Saturday at 9:00 PM and then two minutes later at 5:00 PM without anyone informing you. According to him, "You're the one playing the match, and you're the one who has to keep track of whether the schedules are updated." In other words, you have to be checking where he posts the schedules every five minutes because you don't know when you're playing. The organization is appalling, and above all, the treatment is terrible. Instead of looking for a solution, he just says, "That's how it is, tough luck." If you sign up for the upcoming tournaments, do so knowing that you'll have to be glued to your phone all weekend and have to rush out at any moment.

Great sporting experience, although a bit eventful since it was my first day... I felt like a dog trying to fetch a ball... A constant rush... 🫀🫁💪
