Membership & Pricing

Polideportivo Municipal Esther San Miguel is a municipal sports complex in Burgos managed by the Ayuntamiento de Burgos Servicio Municipalizado de Deportes. The venue combines indoor halls and outdoor pitches: basketball courts on floating parquet, multi-use rooms, an artificial-grass seven-a-side football field, and two padel courts inaugurated in 2016. Those padel courts completed the citys municipal padel network alongside the four courts at Complejo Deportivo San Amaro. The centre is used for municipal padel schools aimed at children and teenagers, with initiation and improvement groups running on weekdays and Saturdays, and it also hosts school competition events such as cadet padel tournaments organised by the city sports service. Court hire and course enrolment sit within the municipal sports system rather than a private club model, with bookings handled online or through the official Burgos Deportes app.

Facilities

There is no private club membership. Access works through Burgos Abono Deportivo, an annual municipal sports pass with fees that vary by age band and whether the holder is registered as a resident of Burgos. Reduced rates apply for young children, teenagers and students, pensioners, people with a disability of 65 percent or more, and unemployed users on a six-month quota, with further discounts for joint family enrolment and large families. Abono holders receive free entry to several municipal swimming pools and the uncovered athletics track at San Amaro, plus a 30 percent discount on padel court reservations at Esther San Miguel and San Amaro and on many municipal courses and sports schools. Non-subscribers can still reserve courts and enrol in schools at the full published rates. Facility reservations are limited to users aged 16 or over, and when a booking is made with an abono card the card holder must be present for the session.

Good

The padel courts are very slow and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, the nets are attached to the fences, which is dangerous. The windows and outdoor seating are covered in pigeon droppings that haven't been cleaned in years and desperately need a thorough cleaning.

There's hardly any room to sit on the volleyball courts. The electronic scoreboards often break down, and you can't keep track of the scores during a match.

Good place for sports practice. I think the teams should have cages so players can store their backpacks so they don't have to take them out to games. I hope they can add four metal cages to store the backpacks.

Excellent sports center, very clean and well-maintained facilities with good access, a great place to play.
