Membership & Pricing
Tennis and Pàdel Piper's is a Costa Brava institution on Avinguda de la Unió in Calonge, five minutes from Platja d'Aro and twenty-five from Girona airport. Founded in 1966, the family-run club grew around owners Joaquim Pibernat and Françoise Perpere, whose surnames inspired the Piper's name. Six clay tennis courts remain the headline surface, but two outdoor padel lanes now sit among cork oaks, pines and century-old olive trees. One padel court uses closed double doors while the other has open exits so players can chase lobs outside the glass. Holiday groups praise coaches Anna and Roger, and the bar-haima space for post-match gatherings.
Facilities
Court hire and coaching are open to members and visiting players booking by phone or email. Padel coaching is led by Joan Marc Cassany alongside a tennis staff that includes former WTA and NCAA players. Pricing is not always published online, so confirm slot length and racket hire when booking; some visitors report buying balls when renting rackets rather than borrowing them.

We spent four fantastic days at Piper Tennis in Calonge (Costa Brava) with a group of seven friends. The courts were in perfect condition every day, freshly watered, and very affordable – perfect for our morning and afternoon sessions. Anna impressed us with her exceptional knowledge of the game and her ability to clearly teach and improve our play, while Roger pushed us hard on court before beating us himself in a match. Owners Françoise and Joachim gave us a very warm welcome – Françoise even arranged an eighth player so we could all join – and it was inspiring to hear about the park’s 40-year history. A unique mix of excellent facilities, warm hospitality, and true passion for tennis. We will definitely be back next year! Greetings from Vincent, Bas, Ronald, Marcel, Cees, Coen and Barend.
There is a high level of tennis players and coaches and the courts are very well maintained, definitely recommended for training or free tennis
The trainers and place itself is great. It was really professional and entertaining!
Nice courts but expensive. There are no price lists on the website so it’s very unclear what the exact prices are. We payed €76,- for one hour with rackets. Be careful with your reservation what playing time you agree upon. We reserved for 1,5 hours of playing but we were sent away after 1 hour as the owners believed we reserved for only 1 hour. It’s not possible to rent balls with your rackets, it’s obligatory to buy the balls when renting rackets!
Best tennis club in the region. Francoise and Joaquim take extremely good care of their courts. Always in optimal conditions and surrounded with flowers, lemon trees…. Great experience. Highly recommended
