Complejo Deportivo Candelario León Rivas is the main outdoor sports complex in Miguelturra (Ciudad Real), run by the municipal Concejalía de Deportes. Players come here for padel, tennis and football on artificial turf. The site sits on Calle María Guerrero and serves residents of Miguelturra and nearby towns who want public-rate court hire rather than a private club. Padel is hired by the hour with optional floodlighting, and a Tarjeta Deportiva is required before you can book. The complex is listed among the town’s municipal sports facilities alongside the Estadio Municipal, where further padel courts are available under the same booking system.

Facilities

To play padel at Complejo Deportivo Candelario León Rivas you need a Tarjeta Deportiva from Ayuntamiento de Miguelturra and must pay the court fee for each booking. General padel rates are about 4.00 EUR per hour without lights and 5.20 EUR with artificial lighting; individual, family and tennis-padel members get a 25% discount on those hire fees. Card options for 2026 include annual individual (39.10 EUR), semestral individual (27.80 EUR), annual family (61.60 EUR), semestral family (50.30 EUR), and a cheaper tennis-padel abono (14.80 EUR) aimed at racket sports users. Tennis-padel, individual and family members can reserve tennis and padel courts in advance for the same week. Book online via miguelturra.es (reserva online, with card ID and password), in person at the Concejalía de Deportes office (weekday mornings), by phone, or by email to deportes@ayto-miguelturra.es. Pay by card at the office, bank transfer, online card payment, or prepaid balance on the sports card wallet.

Dry, poor-quality grass, terrible for playing football. They should remove all the grass and put down a new, better one.

The grass was in terrible condition; rubber constantly came off when the ball hit the ground. They really need to invest in it, as the kids use it a lot. We played a tournament in April, and it was very hot. There's no shade in the stands in the morning, but there is in the afternoon. They should put nets behind the goals on the 8-a-side pitches, behind the goal near the stands, as many balls hit the spectators. The toilets were clean but lacked toilet paper. The bar staff were very friendly. The tournament entry fee was €3.

The artificial turf is in tatters. The stands (if you can call them that) leave a lot to be desired. However, it's better for tennis. If you're disabled, the spaces are filled with bins, and the markings are barely visible.

The grass is in a sorry state and older than the sun. I don't know why they don't replace it once and for all. If you play there, you'll come away scratched and scraped all over; in fact, there's hardly any grass left, it's all rubber balls that burn you when you fall on them. The pitch is small. Otherwise, the entrance, locker rooms, and bar are fine.

Sports complex with several tennis courts and padel courts, plus an 11-a-side football pitch or one divided into several 7-a-side pitches. Very accessible and with good parking. 5
