Centro de Padel San Mateo is a long-established padel club in the San Mateo parish of Narón, serving Ferrolterra since 2006 from Lugar de la Iglesia s/n. Owner-coach Mateo built one of the first serious padel offers in the comarca, with seven courts spanning indoor glass, covered wall lanes, and outdoor wall courts so weather rarely cancels play. The centre runs a respected academy that has developed competitive juniors including international-level students, and English-speaking coaching draws holiday players from across Europe. A pioneering padel center in the area, with a great atmosphere and friendly service from day one. Mateo is a true professional: serious, attentive, and a really good person. You can tell he enjoys teaching and that he genuinely cares about your improvement and having fun on the court. A place you'll love going to and that I highly recommend!
I spent a month in Doniños, Ferrol, in late summer last year – originally planned as a pure surfing holiday… Thanks to the super-friendly head coach and owner of the facility, Mateo, the surfing holiday quickly turned into a padel holiday! 😁👍🏼 I've been playing padel in Austria for about 2.5 years now, motivated and several times a week, and I get more excited every time I play! When I saw on vacation that there was a facility just a few minutes' drive from my accommodation, I grabbed my preemptively packed padel racket and went there on a whim. Mateo welcomed me warmly and provided excellent support, and we got along very well from the very first moment. Mateo speaks English, so communication during the coaching sessions was also great. (This isn't common in Galicia.) The following weeks were a pure padel dream for me! Mateo is a very experienced padel coach who has demonstrated his sensational padel skills through past performances and during training sessions – currently even internationally through his student Iago Fuertes, who is the junior world champion. I was also very excited about the prices for courts and coaching sessions. They're nowhere near comparable to the prices we have here in Austria, and he's a great coach! During my time with Mateo, he and his coaches definitely made me a better player – both in terms of my technique and my understanding of the game! I would like to give a very clear recommendation for Mateo, his coaches, and his facility, and I encourage you to come and visit yourself!
