Torremirona Sport & Spa is a large sports and wellness club run by the Fundació TorreMirona in Navata, in the Alt Empordà region of Girona. Set in open countryside near Figueres, it combines padel with tennis, fitness, swimming, spa facilities, and a wide programme of group classes. Padel is a major draw: the club has nine outdoor courts where members and visitors can play in a natural setting. The dedicated padel section runs an academy for all levels, from beginners to advanced players, with coaching delivered by a professional team including Sergio Márquez, Iván Sancho, and Biel Ros. Long-standing members praise the well-kept courts and the resort-like atmosphere — green fields, on-site restaurant, hairdresser, and massage services make it easy to spend a full day here. Whether you live locally or stay at the adjacent Torremirona resort, the club suits players who want padel alongside gym, pool, and spa access in one place.
Facilities
Padel-focused members can join the Experiència Pàdel plan, which grants full access to all nine padel courts and is aimed at players whose main sport is padel. The padel academy operates on a quarterly structure: groups of four meet once a week for one hour on a fixed day, with a three-month stay required. Broader club memberships cover gym, pools, spa, tennis, and group classes alongside court access. Non-members can also use parts of the complex — the club confirms that access without membership is possible, though specific padel booking terms are best confirmed directly. Holiday visitors staying on the Torremirona resort have previously accessed all facilities on short-term family passes.

As a resort, it's nice. Has many options such as swimming pool, tennis, padel, etc. As a gym, it's not great. The machines and materials aren't upgraded very often, there are still old uncomfortable machines from 5-10 years ago. For the price it costs (almost twice the price of other gyms in the area), they should take much better care of the place and offer higher quality services.
Excellent gym facility for a reasonable price. We were staying at a villa on the resort and for only €150 for the whole family, we were able to use all the facilities for two weeks. The gym got all the necessary equipment to properly train your whole body.
I booked a 60 minute relaxing massage at this spa through the hotel as I was staying there. I love the hotel but I will never ever return to this spa. Firstly to get to the spa I had to walk through the loudest class ever, with the speakers blaring so loud. That's great for an energetic fitness class, but when you can hear it from the spa where you are supposed to feel relaxed, it's not the ideal background noise. The woman at the desk grumpily showed me to a room with a massage bed like that of a dentist chair. There was no towel on the bed, just paper, so it was hard and hurt my chest. When the woman came into the room, she didn't say anything to me the entirety of the most uncomfortable massage ever. I am sorry to say but I question if the woman was really qualified or not. I actually don't want to publicly go into detail about my experience. But I will say that I would strongly recommend avoiding this spa at all costs. At the end of the massage, I was left to get up and prepare to leave. She didn't make it clear that she had lifted the bed much higher than when I got on, so I rushed to get up and fell from a height off the bed and onto the floor which was oily and slippery. Afterward the experience I had, I complained to the hotel. They informed me they had had 3 other recent complaints similar to mine, but sadly as the spa is not related to them, they couldn't give me a refund or discount for the treatment. She then let me know to call ahead next time and request one of the in house massage treatments that they have recently started doing, to combat the need to use this external spa when staying at the beautiful hotel.
I have been a memeber of this club for over 10 years and honestly this club has everything, tennis and padel courts are always in very good conditions, the gym has attentive personnel and everything is in good condition, not to mention great indoor and outdoor swimming pool.
Lovely Hotel por Family and Sports
