Polideportivo Municipal de Nuevo Baztán is the town sports hub on Calle Fábrica, combining a municipal pool, football, hockey, basketball, tennis and two outdoor padel courts. The ayuntamiento recently upgraded padel, tennis and football lighting to LED and runs regular maintenance on the artificial turf, nets and silica sand. Around eighty padel school pupils, thirty municipal ranking pairs and casual renters use the courts each week according to council news. The complex is a typical Madrid-edge municipal site: affordable hire, phone reservations the day before, and summer versus winter opening hours on the polideportivo page.
Facilities
Padel hire €4 Mon–Fri and €5 Sundays and holidays, plus €1 per hour for lights and €1 racket rental. Reserve by phone 918 734 400 the day before between 16:00 and 21:00 (confirm and pay at reception). General polideportivo line 918 873 44 00. The pool is one of the best in the area. It costs €2.50 for adults daily and €3.50 for holidays (if you're not registered). The artificial grass is very clean and well-maintained. It has an Olympic-size pool and a children's pool. Sun loungers are available for €1 all day. It has a ladder and chair for people with limited mobility. It's surrounded by a fence for added safety. The staff are friendly, as are the lifeguards. The water is very clean and rarely crowded. If you take a stroll through the town and see the Goyeneche Museum afterwards, it's a great idea.
We were there yesterday and honestly, we went in blind, and I have to say it was excellent. Everything was super clean, the service was unbeatable. Without a doubt, from now on, this will be our go-to pool for spending the day with the family.
The turf on the football pitch has been replaced and it will be inaugurated in January 2022. It has two padel courts, two tennis courts, and a hockey rink... An interesting sports complex.
Very nice resort and the pool is quite good, but with too many rules, in my opinion!
The staff is friendly, the facilities could be improved, but the activity instructors are good and the prices are good.
