Pistas de Padel in Osorno la Mayor (Palencia, Castilla y León) is the municipal padel court run by the Ayuntamiento de Osorno la Mayor. It forms part of the town's public sports offer alongside the covered polideportivo, football pitch, outdoor multi-sport courts and municipal swimming pools. The court is aimed at local recreational play rather than a private club setup: anyone can book it under the municipal sports regulations, with rates set by the town hall. Osorno sits in Tierra de Campos, and this padel court is the main place in the municipality to play without travelling to larger cities such as Palencia or Burgos. Seasonal coaching has also been organised here in collaboration with a provincial padel school, so the site serves both casual hire and structured learning when programmes are running.
Facilities
Court hire at Pistas de Padel in Osorno la Mayor is pay-per-use under the Ayuntamiento, not a private membership club. Historically, reservations and fee payment for the padel court were handled at the bar of the bus station, with rates depending on the day and length of play. The official sports regulations also allow bookings at the town hall offices on weekday mornings, with payment due when the booking is made. Registered residents (empadronados) get preference on the public booking sheet once priority slots for schools, clubs and council activities are allocated. General bookings cannot usually be made more than 15 days ahead. If a session ends and the court is free, users may request up to one extra hour by SMS or WhatsApp under the municipal rules. Seasonal padel classes have been offered on site through Escuela de Pádel Carlos Pozo (instructor Javi Rey), with monthly packages advertised around €35–€50 for adults and discounted children's groups when numbers allow; enrolment for those courses was handled by WhatsApp (613 567 350). Always confirm current fees and the active booking point with the town hall.
