Membership & Pricing
Polideportivo Municipal Antonio Gil Hernández is the main council-run sports complex in Punta Umbría, a coastal town in Huelva on Andalucía’s Costa de la Luz. Players come here for padel courts that sit alongside tennis, football, athletics and a covered multi-sport pavilion, so the site works as a full municipal polideportivo rather than a padel-only club. Official council material lists four municipal padel courts among the outdoor stock. The Ayuntamiento also runs a gym and fitness rooms on site, and the complex doubles as a base for municipal sports schools and local tournaments. Booking and membership sit under the Servicio Municipal de Deportes, with court hire handled through the council’s sports portal at deportes.puntaumbria.es. Wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking are noted for the venue. Conditions on outdoor surfaces can vary with heavy use; a few public reviews flag maintenance on the athletics track and court surroundings, so it is worth checking the pitch or court state when you reserve.
Facilities
You do not need a membership to play padel here: non-abonados can rent a court at the full municipal rate. An abono to the Servicio Municipal de Deportes gives free entry to the sports facilities and a 50% cut on hire tariffs and sports schools. Published adult abonos are 30 euros a year or 10 euros a quarter; family (couple plus children up to 18) 50 euros a year or 17 euros a quarter; juvenile (up to 18) 15 euros a year or 5 euros a quarter. On the published padel tariff, abonados pay 4 euros per hour without floodlights and 6 euros with focos; non-members pay 8 and 12 euros respectively. The gym at Antonio Gil Hernández has a separate monthly fee (about 39.60 euros, half that for abonados) and single-session prices. Sign-up and court hire run through deportes.puntaumbria.es; the sports office at the polideportivo also handles abonos and school enrolment. Special reduced rates exist for certain documented groups on the council tariff sheet.

Nice
It seems people want a golden field. The sports center delivers, and you're allowed to play with complete freedom. If it's not possible to play soccer on the natural grass field for maintenance reasons, you're two steps away from the artificial one. It's not that big a deal.
The state of maintenance is appalling. The athletics tracks are cracked. Trash on and around the padel courts. I don't know what the city council managers are looking at.
The new woman doesn't let children play or do anything; she'll kick you out if you're just playing peacefully and not doing anything.
One of the few places in the province where you can occasionally watch a rugby match. The Punta Umbría City Council has once again supported the development of sports in Huelva, and rugby in particular. Proof of this is the Beach Rugby tournament held every July in La Canaleta since 2010, organized by the Tartessos Regional Council.
