Had to edit the review because of the insane closing times in the weekend, 2pm! Why close so early?? Edited for a third time - > super annoying coming to the gym to enjoy the sauna and its turned off, and the staff thats there don't know how to turn it off?? Original one : OK+ gym with a nice sauna 👌 6€ for day pass and 20€ for week pass
A very very bad place to practice padel. 😡You are not allow to practice with your 12 years old son and your wife together - without booking a personal trainer. Who was not even there. If you have a basket of trainingballs - they tell you to leave. NOT recommended for practice padel.
Well maintained equipment and courts. They offer a variety of different exercise classes from spin class to boxing. Spin classes, the different courts, and pool are outside. They speak limited English but are quite willing to help. There are lots of lockers but you have to bring your own lock.
This review is for the summer camp offered at Val's in Torre del Mar. I wish I could give it zero stars but that's not an option. We chose to send our daughter here as it has such a good reputation but I can't for the life of me understand why. The facility is dirty, it doesn't seem they have cleaned since the Calima earlier this year. The monitors are little more than kids themselves (16/17 years old) and there were only 2 of them trying to manage a group of around 40 children. By the end of the first 2 weeks one of the monitors still did not recognise my child's name and didn't know where she was when I went to collect her. There's barely any shade and the couple of chairs provided are usually occupied by the monitors-if the kids want to sit to eat they have to use the benches under the full sun, otherwise they sit on the floor, which doesn't seem very hygienic to me. My daughter was not shown where the toilets were and she's too shy to ask so she had to wait until her friend came later on. A list of required material is provided, presumably so the activities listed can be undertaken, however many of the other children did not have their own equipment and so they just took other peoples things, often returning them broken or damaged. The monitors also didn't have their own equipment and so they too took things from the kids. The impression is given that your child will learn the basics of various sports but that's simply not the case. For example, in pádel, they're given a tennis ball and left to entertain themselves on the courts-no instruction or coaching is given. There were numerous badly behaved kids (swearing at/bullying others) but nothing seemed to be in place to curb their bad behaviour, in fact the opposite is true. The worse they behaved, the more freedom they were given as no-one wanted to deal with them. I can't lay the blame for this on the monitors, they were very young, clearly inexperienced and completely overwhelmed by the number of children they were assigned. The camp is completely oversubscribed, poorly organised and does not deliver the experience it advertises. I'm very disappointed and would never EVER recommend this camp to anyone.
Great sports club with lots of diffrent activities to choose from and lovely little cafe / bar inside aswell well worth a visit! If you play paddle I would recommend Phillipe as a coach he is the best by far!!!
