Pistas municipales is the outdoor racket and multi-sport area of the Polideportivo Municipal in Torremocha de Jarama, a small town in Madrid’s Sierra Norte. Run by the town hall, it is the public place to play padel locally rather than a private club. The padel offer centres on two outdoor courts that players describe as traditional wall courts updated with glass backs, so rallies play more like modern glass courts while remaining fully exposed to weather and wind. Demand is high for the size of the municipality, and regulars treat advance booking as normal rather than optional. Beyond padel, the same sports centre supports tennis courts and a multipurpose court, with a covered pavilion used for indoor sports and municipal events. The site also hosts community tournaments — including padel during local fiestas — and sits alongside other municipal leisure facilities such as a gym and a boulder wall inside the wider polideportivo.
Facilities
Court hire is managed digitally: since December 2024 the Ayuntamiento directs players to Sporttia to check availability and reserve padel, tennis and multipurpose courts remotely. Create an account in the Sporttia app or web platform, find the Torremocha de Jarama municipal facility, then book and pay through your profile. Separately, organised cultural and sports activity courses run by the municipality require a one-off seasonal matrícula of 10 euros, with monthly fees collected only by bank direct debit — cash and transfers are not accepted for those enrolments. Activity drops must be requested on the official form; cancellations after the 1st of the month take effect the following month. Under-16s need an accompanying adult for unsupervised free use of the installations.

With the Sporttia App you can book the padel courts (2 wall courts and glass roof courts), tennis courts and multipurpose court at the sports center.
The facilities aren't the best, to be honest; I'd give them a 5. Outdoor wall courts. However, the staff were wonderful.
Municipal padel courts. Reservations are recommended; they're very busy. Well maintained.
