Club Tenis y Padel Soto del Real sits on Calle Egidillo in the Sierra de Madrid municipality of Soto del Real, combining a long-standing tennis club with a padel wing that has grown into seven courts. Four are indoor covered glass layouts; three play outdoors — one glass wall court and two traditional wall courts, according to booking-directory listings. The club runs social tournaments such as BeatSlam and BeatXpress, and regulars praise the maintained surfaces and the café that puts on a weekend barbecue menu. It is a family-oriented local club rather than a big-city franchise: book through tenisypadelsoto.es, turn up, eat after the match. Reviews are split on management style — some groups love the place, others flag strict bar rules — but the court stock and mountain-town setting keep players coming back.

The courts are reasonable, but the guy who runs it is intolerable. We've been organizing a family padel tournament for five years, and we've always been very calm. We thought we had some kind of friendship. On Saturday, we realized we didn't. We started the tournament with 16 people, two guys for three hours, and obviously someone took their bottle of Aquarius or water or whatever. And Antonio, that's his name, called us out for bringing drinks from home and not spending money at "his" bar... all of that rudely, speaking to 16-18-year-olds who didn't understand anything. During the tournament, four of us were waiting for our turn to play at 7:30 p.m., with all the courts empty to stay warm, and he kicked us out. I don't think that's bad; it's his business and he takes care of it however he wants. His ways were rude and completely rude. He treated us like criminals, and we're not...we're educated professionals and university graduates. And finally, the men's locker room. The hot water, the water pressure from the showers, as if we were in a concentration camp, with a force that literally hurt. In short, not relaxing or pleasant. Obviously, this will be the last time we go there. Dear Antonio, thank you very much for everything. I read your reply and see that you're not only rude but also vain. I also notice that you can't read; there were 16 of us, not 20. And I also see that there's nothing to say about the locker room...curious.
We've played at this club several times because the courts are very well maintained. They have four indoor courts and three outdoor courts. The staff is very attentive. There's a café/restaurant with a varied menu, and on weekends they offer a fantastic BBQ menu—great quality at a great price. There's a large parking area with spaces for charging electric cars. Highly recommended!
Be careful with the Sunday jackpot. If you miss the jackpot, even if you give five days' notice, they'll take your money and be happy to. And if necessary, they'll change the rules the same day.
The facilities are average. I've been to classes a few times. The instructor is good, but she should change the balls more often.
The tennis courts are fine, but they recently changed the online booking system, and it's more complicated and impractical, which is why I'm only giving it 2 stars. Before, you could see court availability and times at a glance, but now it's a trial-and-error process for each day and time...
