The Pabellón Polideportivo Universitario del Campus Viriato is the University of Salamanca sports hub in Zamora on Avenida del Cardenal Cisneros. Run by the Servicio de Deportes (SEFYD), it combines a covered multi-sport hall, gym, indoor and outdoor climbing walls, two tennis courts and a single outdoor glass-walled padel court with artificial turf. Students and staff get preferential rates; anyone else can join via Alumni USAL for about €36 a year and then book courts or enrol in classes. Pad el groups run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at initiation and intermediate level, with small-group teaching capped at six per session. The Paidotribes university tournament includes padel among its modalities each spring.
Facilities
Padel classes Feb–Jun 2026: Tue/Thu 16:30 or 17:30, €84 university community / €120 Alumni per semester (minimum three enrollees per group). Court hire via USAL online booking portal. A perfect place for a wide range of physical and sporting activities. They offer several four-month sports programs such as Pilates, Zumba, Fitness, and Physical Activity for Seniors; all open to the university community (University of Salamanca) and anyone else who wishes to join by becoming a member of the Alumni USAL association (https://alumni.usal.es) for €36/year. They also have a weight room, climbing walls, an indoor court for playing futsal, basketball, handball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, etc., two outdoor tennis courts, and an outdoor glass-walled padel court. It is a very complete pavilion, with paddle tennis courts and a well-equipped gym.
Phenomenal! Fix the leaks and it'll be the best pavilion in Zamora.
