Club de Tennis-Padel Aigle serves the Chablais region at the foot of the Swiss Alps in canton Vaud. Padel arrived in 2015 when the club built a hall with two indoor courts, adding a modern racket option to its long-standing tennis offer. The sport is pitched as social and easy to pick up: doubles only, glass and mesh walls, and scoring that follows tennis while rallies bounce off the back and side panels. The club welcomes members and visitors for 90-minute sessions, with online booking and racket hire through EQUIP lockers. Coaching runs for beginners through advanced players. Some reviews mention the unheated hall can feel cold in winter and the structure shows its age, but many locals value the straightforward access and community feel.
Facilities
Pay-as-you-play rates apply to non-members. Weekday off-peak slots between 07:30 and 12:00 and 14:00 and 17:00 cost CHF 32 per hour, with CHF 16 for each extra 30 minutes. Peak weekday hours from 12:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 23:00 are CHF 40 per hour plus CHF 20 per half hour. Weekends and public holidays are CHF 40 per hour with CHF 20 for additional 30 minutes. Annual membership opens unlimited padel access and club events: CHF 200 for under-12s, CHF 300 for juniors from 12, CHF 625 for adults from 16, CHF 575 for seniors from 65 and CHF 1100 for couples. The padel court, far from being the best in the region, really leaves much to be desired. Its infrastructure seems somewhat neglected, with holes in places letting in cold air, making it very chilly. Furthermore, puddles are scattered everywhere. Finally, as soon as the match ended, the lights were turned off just as we were getting ready to leave, forcing us to use our flashlights. We won't be back!
Overall, the padel courts are good. You can play almost year-round. Access is quick and easy from the highway. The downsides are a lack of staff, the booking system needs improvement, and the lighting is insufficient.
Not very well maintained, but renovations are underway; no walk-in service, everything is booked online.
Covered grounds with sufficient height for lobes, opening possibilities on the sides and close to the motorway exit.
Padel, an excellent indoor sport, even in summer (there's air conditioning), perfect for playing with four people and sharing a beer afterwards
