Racket City in Derendingen, canton Solothurn, positions itself as a full racket-sport destination — tennis, padel and pickleball under one roof at Schöllerstrasse 6. Since a rebrand and change of management in autumn 2024, the centre has expanded its padel offering to four indoor super panoramic courts plus one outdoor court, with bookings open on Playtomic. The site sits beside the long-established TC Sporting Derendingen tennis club, but you no longer need club membership to play: Racket City sells its own padel subscriptions and pay-as-you-go court time. Regular social padel events — Americanos, Ladies Night, King of the Court, Brunch Padel and family sessions — give the venue a community feel beyond straight court hire.
Facilities
Padel court time can be booked through Playtomic for casual play. Annual padel subscriptions include RC Padel Unlimited (all day, every day), RC Padel Daytime (Mon–Fri 07:00–17:00) and RC Padel Senior (weekday daytime plus weekends all day). Fixed weekly slots and single bookings are priced by time band — early/late, daytime, peak evenings and weekends — with hourly rates from around CHF 30 to CHF 58. Tennis members of TC Sporting Derendingen can combine club membership with Racket City access; Interclub play requires TC Sporting membership. This is an excellent racket sports venue that truly deserves five stars. Visiting as a tourist, I had the pleasure of experiencing the recent Silvestercup tournament here, where the present owners were personally on site delivering outstanding professional service, impeccable standards, and genuine attention to every detail. The welcoming atmosphere made it unforgettable, and things will only get better soon with their new additional space already visible in preparation. Will be back for sure!
