Padelta Solothurn in Biberist is the newest flagship in the Padelta network, opened in August 2025 inside a converted industrial hall on the historic Papieri-Areal beside the Emme. Where paper mills once stood, the site is becoming a mixed-use quarter for work, sport and eventually housing — and padel arrived here first. Eight indoor courts fill the space, four built to international competition standard with ceiling height that handles high lobs comfortably. The hall also hosts Switzerland's first National Padel Performance Center, run with Swiss Tennis Padel, so national-team training, talent camps and ranking tournaments sit alongside casual bookings. Players from Biel, Solothurn and the wider Mittelland treat it as the regional padel hub. Coaches Carlota and Ismael run tailored academy sessions, and club manager Nicolas keeps the front desk approachable. Biberist Ost station is a short walk, the A1 motorway five minutes by car, and free Pool parking sits at the Papieri entrance.
Facilities
Courts book through Playtomic or the Padelta website — no traditional club membership required for casual play. Weekday daytime slots (Mon–Fri 07:00–17:00) cost CHF 40 per hour; evenings until 23:00 are CHF 68. Weekends run CHF 40 from 08:00–10:00 and 20:00–22:00, with CHF 68 between 10:00 and 20:00. Racket rental is CHF 5 per player. Public holidays and the Christmas–New Year window may carry adjusted rates. Academy coaching is arranged via the training request form on padelta.ch; coaches tailor sessions to your level. I've been training at Padelta in Biberist for over a month now with coaches Carlota and Ismael. They both tailor the training sessions to each individual and make them very easy to understand. I'm already seeing significant progress and can highly recommend them both. Nicolas, the club manager, is also always available and very helpful. Top team!
