Membership & Pricing
Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club sits in Oaklands Park with views over parkland, a members club since 1964 blending tennis, squash, racketball, padel, gym and a wet suite in one site. Two outdoor artificial-grass padel courts opened in late 2020 with floodlights — the first padel offer in the historic West Sussex city. Head coach Pete Cook runs lessons and monthly free intro workshops for members; social match-play, box leagues, LTA events and club championships run through the year. Four new covered padel courts are under construction with an opening planned for October 2026. The clubhouse bar and café upstairs draw a convivial crowd after racket sessions. Padel sits inside a traditional private-members sports club rather than a standalone pay-and-play centre.
Facilities
Club membership required for full padel community access — social events, tournaments and WhatsApp groups are member-only though courts can be booked by non-members at additional padel court charges on top of base fees. Adult full membership 75 pounds/month or 855.50 pounds/year (60 pounds joining fee); off-peak adult 55 pounds/month with weekday and weekend time restrictions. Young adult, junior and social tiers from free (under-5) to 37.50 pounds/month (18–23). Padel court hire carries extra charges beyond standard membership. Family and corporate packages on enquiry. Contact reception@crafc.co.uk, membership@crafc.co.uk or 01243 785664. Wimbledon 2026 promo: no joining fee on annual adult packages until 12 July 2026.

I regularly hire the studio here - the team are really efficient for bookings and particular shout out to Josh for excellent service always taking on board any feedback and always being a friendly face around the club.
I joined this Club three years ago and have loved it from the beginning. There is such a friendly atmosphere amongst members and staff. At times the convivial ambience of the clubhouse makes me forget that we are there to play sports and keep fit! The recent squash ‘super league’ tournament was a great spectacle (photo belo) and a reminder of the quality of play which we are privileged to enjoy.
Good place, there can play tennis and other activities
Have been playing Padel for 6 month abroad before moving back.. called to enquire about playing here only to find out that you are MASSIVELY restricted unless you’re will to join the club as a member for approx £65/month. Yes you’re able to book a court and play but the reason I fell in love with this sport was the social aspect and to meet people! As a non member youre not allowed to join social events, tournaments or chat groups like most other clubs. So unless you already have people you know to play with you’re pretty much alienated. So disappointing! Luckily I was able to find another club that is far more welcoming to non members and quickly made a bunch of new friends to play with! If anyone else is equally frustrated to how elitist this pretentious club is and wants to join part of the Padel community and fall in love with how friendly this growing sport is I highly recommend “the hub” in Crawley. Great prices and full assess to all the features and facilities this club only allows members assess too
Kind staff and quality facilities. Tracey on reception was particularly helpful finding us a tennis court with floodlights! Great bar upstairs for a pint after your match.
